Parents:

We understand that a love of reading begins at home, and that, indeed, you are your child’s first teacher. It is through our own experiences with our children that we have come to value the extraordinary gifts and responsibilities we are given to spend time nurturing our children's curiosities and interests. We hope that you will find our efforts in writing, illustrating and developing these resources for Jake and the Migration of the Monarch meaningful in your time together with your children.

We’d love to hear about special experiences you have with your child in reading our book and exploring our web site. We’d love to hear about ways you may find to strengthen the bonds with your child through reading the story, exploring and appreciating nature, creating family projects to enhance inter-generational involvement, or coming up with new activities to support the themes of this book.
