Look at a map of North America. Show Canada, the Carolina coast (where Jake and his mother saw the monarchs), and Mexico. Place yarn from one destination to the next. What other cities and states might be on the monarch butterfly’s route? Is there a specific place on the Carolina coast you know (Identify a city and state.)?
