Make a Journal

 

Create a monarch butterfly journal, a book of your thoughts, artwork and observations  about your discoveries relating to monarch butterflies.  There are many ways to make your journal:

• Take a photograph of a monarch.





• Visit or plant a butterfly garden.





• Find milkweed leaves or seeds or flowers





• Draw pictures of the varieties of milkweed in your area.

• Decorate the front of your book with your own drawing or photo on a piece of construction paper.

• Click on our monarch butterfly to print out a cover you can color and glue to the front of your journal.

• Use three hole punch and choose the paper you like for the inside, and construction paper for the back close with string or other fasteners, or staple together.  Have fun thinking of a name for your journal.   

• Get started reading, observing, creating, learning, and recording.
